Stars in the sky

There is a tangibility
in the space we used to inhabit
–it has always been about spaces with you–
but then, such is always the narrative,
it starts
with the lovers pointing at the starry sky
and before they know,
they begin to wary
all the spaces between them,
growing like a refusing orb of light,
till the star becomes a phenomenon
of a caught-up dazzle in the pair of squinting eyes–
what was then love
is now a ghost of the night sky.
